The president of the Royal Spanish Football Federation (RFEF), Luis Rubialesstated that “nothing has changed” and that they will sit down to negotiate the possible renewal of the national coach, Luis Enrique Martinezafter the Qatar 2022 World Cup, since they are now focused on qualifying for Nations League final four.
“I have too much with what I know to be able to intuit. We had a meeting many months ago with the sports director, Molina, and the coach and we decided to wait for the World Cup. Nothing has changed. We are very happy with his work in the national team”, he pointed out at the RFEF’s Ciudad del Fútbol in Las Rozas (Madrid).

The president of the RFEF participated in the presentation of the MÁS selection application, aimed at ‘La Roja’ fans, but in which Luis Enrique’s squad lists will also be offered, together with the RFEF’s Marketing Director, Ruben Riveraand Real Madrid internationals Daniel Carvajal and of the FC Barcelona Jordi Alba.
Luis Rubiales congratulated himself on the support of the fans in the last European Championship in 2022. “People have been ‘hooked’, there is that ‘stamp’ of the national team. We set out to try to be at the level of the top four or five teams and now we are focused on sports. After the World Cup we will talk about what we have to talk about,” stressed about the future of Luis Enrique.
Likewise, Rubiales highlighted that the MÁS ‘app’ will make the RFEF the “first institution in the world” to offer a series of services, and that in the first year they have the goal of reaching 100,000 users. “I hope we have a problem with the logo from January. Being world champions is very difficult,” she joked with the accent of the application’s name, who is the star of world champions.

On another plane, Dani Carvajal affirmed that his teammate Jordi Alba is “of the best left backs in the world”. “What I like least is facing him. He is very ‘heavy’, but we have a very good relationship,” she said.
In this sense, Jordi Alba stressed that Carvajal has been “at the highest level” for many years. “He’s very competitive. I’m not saying he’s one of the best, is the best of the last years. It’s a shame to have him on the rival team.
