The first list of Luis De la Fuente in charge of the Spanish team has been a real revolution, with up to 14 changes compared to the last call of the World Cup in Qatar, then with Luis Enrique. Kepa, Pedro Porro, Nacho, Iñigo Martínez, David García, Zubimendi, Ceballos, Fabián, Mikel Merino, Bryan Gil, Aspas, Joselu, Oyarzabal and Gerard Moreno are the new additions to a list that has not left anyone indifferent.
Many changes were expected and De la Fuente has fulfilled what was expected: only 11 footballers have repeated in a list where there have been a total of 14 changes. The most significant have been the return of Nacho and Ceballos, who are having a great season; the additions of Gerard Moreno Moreno and Oyarzabal, who return after overcoming their respective injuries; Joselu accompanying Morata as a pure ‘9’; and the call to Zubimendi and David Garciawho will debut in the national team.
In goal there has not been a big change. With the loss of Unai Simón who is still injured in his Achilles heel, Kepa is the great novelty in the announcement. The Chelsea goalkeeper will accompany Robert Sánchez and David Raya, the other two goalkeepers called up on Luis Enrique’s latest list.
